We have notice an increase in the amount of sign outs we have daily. For context we typically have a total amount of 50 of students sign out. About of fourth of the sign outs are due to doctors appointments and the others are regular early sign outs. When your student is sign out early they will be marked absent from their class and any other class they miss. We want to encourage for all student appt to be schedule during early dismissal days, holidays, and or on campus staff development days. For your convenicence we have attached the YES Prep Academic calendar. We are heading into testing season and it is extremely important for your student to be present and not miss any instructional time in class. If you student must sign out early please be sure to always turn in an excuse note. Gulfton will practice 3 types of Safety Drills this month! Please remember that during these drills you are not able to pick up your student. You must wait until the end of the drill to sign them out. These drills are to be taken serious in order to practice for any given emergency.
