Upcoming Common Assessments: December 3rd–5th
Please note that all students will take their Semester Common Assessments the week immediately following Thanksgiving break, between Wednesday, December 3rd and Friday, December 5th. These assessments are worth 10% of the student's final semester grade.
Required Preparation: It is critical that students are present and on time during this testing window and bring a fully charged laptop each day. We strongly encourage students to utilize the Thanksgiving break for studying and preparation.
6th graders have been working hard in class to prepare for their common assessments. However, this effort must extend outside of the classroom in order to have maximum effectiveness. We know that students deserve a break and need rest, but whenever they have some extra time during the break they should be working on the packets we are sending home with them. They will receive a packet from their math teachers, english teachers, and social studies teacher to complete. We want our students to show up ready and confident for their common assessments starting December 3rd. Teachers will not be available over the break. Students need to use all of their resources online if they need help or have questions about their work.
8th graders as we prepare for common assessment, we want to make sure that students are ready when they return. Core subject teachers have sent out study sheet and practice tools on paper and/or computer. It will be graded!
