At YES Prep, our College Initiatives team helps our students prepare for life after high school by exploring careers, building skills, and connecting with mentors.

Through the Ignite program, students gain the opportunity to explore new pathways and build the confidence to pursue their future careers with purpose.

Career Ignite Spotlight: The Explore Club

Through the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship – Houston Galveston Chapter, YES Prep students are getting a firsthand look at careers in healthcare and public service. This mentorship-based program connects high schoolers with fellows from local medical and graduate schools, offering hands-on sessions in career exploration and leadership development.

Last school year, students at YES Prep West Secondary and YES Prep Gulfton Secondary built valuable skills while discovering future pathways in healthcare and beyond.
